Durango & Silverton Narrow Gage Rail Road

The D&SNGRR train goes through the park twice-a-day (so does it's twin) full of passengers making the 4 hour ride between Durango and Silverton. They leave in the morning, spend an hour in Silverton and return to Durango in the afternoon. The residents of the park run out to watch it go by or to place pennies on the tracks.

Bring us a squished penny please.

Try couple of new quarters. You need to schedule a trip on the rails while your bike is in the shop.

are there plans to take a ride on the train??

$79 ride. Is it worth it? Has anyone reading this been on the ride? I've been on a couple of small train rides with my kids, but it was more for them than me.

Not personally but those that I have talked to say it is a relaxing trip, well worth the money. Just don't unintentionally miss the return departure from Silver City.

I think I'll rent a car and make the drive up the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton and Ouray.

Hey, so sorry for the mishap. And sorry we didn't get to see you in KS. I was looking forward to it. We'll see you in the fall.

I bet that was Jacky.

Maybe take a drive down toward Farmington and Shiprock to check out the Tony Hillerman book locations. Unless you have already been to that area.

It was! (Jacky) How is it going with repairs?
